Sidoarjo, 7 September 2024 – SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan (SMP Mulia) sukses menyelenggarakan acara Bimbingan Mental (Bimen) bagi pengurus baru Ikatan Pelajar Muhammadiyah (IPM) pada Jumat dan Sabtu, 6-7 September 2024. Acara ini dirancang untuk membentuk mental pengurus yang lebih disiplin, percaya diri, dan mampu mengenali karakter masing-masing peserta, dengan harapan membawa IPM SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan ke arah yang lebih baik.
Selama dua hari satu malam, kegiatan Bimen ini berlangsung dengan berbagai aktivitas yang menantang dan mendidik. Di antaranya, peserta mendapatkan pelatihan kaderisasi dan materi tentang IPM oleh Ust. Angga Baskoro Yudha, S.Pd., yang memberikan mereka pemahaman mendalam tentang peran dan tanggung jawab sebagai pengurus. Tidak hanya itu, mereka juga dilatih dalam pembuatan proposal guna meningkatkan kemampuan administrasi dan manajerial yang dibutuhkan dalam menjalankan organisasi.

Pada malam hari, peserta diajak untuk mengikuti game malam yang dirancang untuk menguji adrenalin dan mental mereka. Dalam kegiatan ini, mereka dibagi menjadi beberapa kelompok untuk menyelesaikan misi di setiap pos yang tersebar di seluruh area sekolah. “Yang saya suka pas waktu malam hari di game malam itu ketika misi mencari bendera karena tempatnya gelap bikin deg-degan dan menantang,” ujar M. Syifaul Qolbi, salah satu peserta.
Hanania Isyat Shabirah, siswa kelas 8, menilai bahwa game malam merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang paling menarik, terutama saat di pos lantai 3, di mana mereka diuji dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang menggali pemahaman mereka tentang IPM, visi dan misi organisasi, serta alasan mereka bergabung dengan IPM.

Keesokan paginya, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan latihan baris-berbaris (PBB) yang dipimpin langsung oleh pembina dari Koramil Tulangan. Latihan ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan disiplin dan kebersamaan di antara para peserta. “Alhamdulillah, acara Bimen SMP Mulia berjalan dengan baik. Anak-anak menjadi lebih disiplin, lebih dewasa, dan lebih bertanggung jawab dalam setiap kegiatan, khususnya di IPM SMP Mulia,” kata Ach Dwi Alfandi, S.Pd., salah satu guru yang menjadi panitia.
Dengan adanya acara ini, SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan menunjukkan komitmennya dalam mengembangkan potensi siswa, tidak hanya dalam bidang akademik tetapi juga dalam aspek mental dan karakter. Hal ini menjadikan SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan sebagai tempat yang sangat sesuai bagi siswa untuk mengembangkan bakat, minat, dan kemampuan mereka.
