Sidoarjo – Pada Jumat, 20 September 2024, SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan melaksanakan pembagian santunan secara simbolis kepada 19 siswa yatim. Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari program sosial yang dikelola oleh Kantor Layanan Lazismu (KLL) yang sudah dua tahun beroperasi di sekolah ini.
Santunan diberikan oleh Bapak Muhammad Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd., yang menjabat sebagai Kaur Humas dan Ismuba. Dalam acara tersebut, setiap siswa yatim menerima bantuan sebesar Rp200.000 yang ditujukan untuk membantu biaya kegiatan siswa. Sementara itu, biaya SPP untuk mereka sudah sepenuhnya ditanggung oleh sekolah.

“KLL SMP Mulia sudah berdiri selama dua tahun dan kami bersyukur telah mendapat SK dari Lazismu PDM Sidoarjo. Tahun ini, kami kembali mendistribusikan infaq yang dikumpulkan oleh anak-anak untuk mendukung pendidikan siswa yatim, baik di dalam maupun luar sekolah,” ujar Bapak Muhammad Arif.
Ini adalah langkah awal di tahun ajaran 2024/2025 untuk menyalurkan bantuan kepada siswa yatim. KLL juga berencana untuk terus bekerja sama dengan Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Al Insan. Setiap tahun, menjelang puasa dan Idul Fitri, sekolah mengadakan buka puasa bersama sekaligus memberikan bingkisan dan santunan kepada anak-anak yatim di panti tersebut.
“Semua ini berasal dari infaq yang dikumpulkan oleh siswa-siswi SMP Muhammadiyah 5, ditambah donasi dari para dermawan dan hasil dari berbagai kegiatan sosial di sekolah. Kami berharap KLL bisa menjadi jembatan untuk membantu lebih banyak anak yang membutuhkan,” lanjutnya.
KLL Mulia juga aktif memberikan dukungan bagi siswa yatim di luar SMP Muhammadiyah 5. Selain distribusi infaq, KLL ini berfungsi sebagai penghubung bagi siswa yang ingin berkontribusi secara sosial. Berbagai program seperti bakti sosial dan pengumpulan dana rutin dilakukan untuk mendukung anak-anak yatim di panti asuhan.
“Harapan kami, dengan adanya KLL ini, semakin banyak yang terbantu. Kami ingin menciptakan lingkungan yang peduli, tidak hanya di dalam sekolah tapi juga bagi masyarakat sekitar,” tutup Muhammad Arif.
Dengan semangat ukhuwah islamiyah, KLL SMP Mulia berkomitmen untuk menggerakkan kepedulian sosial di kalangan siswa-siswi dan warga sekitar. Melalui kegiatan seperti ini, sekolah berusaha membentuk karakter siswa yang peka terhadap kebutuhan sesama, sekaligus menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pertumbuhan sosial dan spiritual.
